Overview:
Want to protect a specific folder on your website with a password? The Directory Privacy feature (formerly called Password Protect Directories) helps you do just that.

Steps to Set It Up:

1. Log in to your cPanel.

2. Under the Files section, click Directory Privacy.

3. Click the folder you want to protect (e.g., /private or /admin).

4. Tick the box that says Password protect this directory.

5. Set a name for the protected area.

6. Create a username and password for access.

That’s it!
Now when someone tries to visit that folder, they’ll need to log in.
