All hosting accounts come with certain limits. Here’s what they mean and how to manage them:
1. Disk Space
This is the total amount of storage your account can use. Includes files, emails, databases, etc.
Tips:
-
Remove unused plugins/themes
-
Clean up old backups
-
Delete spam or trash emails
2. Bandwidth
This is the amount of data visitors use when accessing your site. High traffic = higher bandwidth.
Tips:
-
Optimise images
-
Use caching plugins
-
Upgrade plan if needed
3. CPU Usage
Too many scripts or plugins running at once can overload your CPU.
Tips:
-
Disable unnecessary plugins
-
Avoid running backups during peak hours
4. Inodes
Each file or email counts as an inode. Hitting the limit can stop file uploads or email receipt.
Tips:
-
Delete unused files/emails
-
Avoid hoarding emails in Sent and Trash
